Pfaff Clear N' Melt Stabilizer - 12" x 10yds
Recommended Use:
Use as a topper to prevent fabric nap, pile, or coarse weaves from pushing through your stitches, helping your embroidery remain even and crisp. As a backing, it’s ideal for designs with fill areas, monograms, and appliqué where added support is needed. Note: Not recommended for lace designs or small, open embroidery areas where the iron tip cannot make full contact.
How to Use as a Topper:
- Place Before Hooping: Position Pfaff® Clear N’ Melt over the fabric before hooping.
- Add After Hooping (Alternative): Hoop the fabric first, then place Clear N’ Melt on top.
- Secure with a Basting Stitch: If your machine offers a basting feature, use it to hold the stabilizer securely in place.
- Position on the Wrong Side: Place Clear N’ Melt on the back of the fabric to provide extra stability.
- Hoop Together: Hoop both the fabric and the stabilizer as one unit for even support during embroidery
- Tear Away Excess: After embroidery is complete, gently tear away as much of the stabilizer as possible.
- Melt the Remaining Stabilizer
- Set a dry hand iron to a low to medium heat setting (never use high heat).
- Iron directly over the stabilizer with smooth, continuous motions.
- IronAs the stabilizer melts, it will dissipate into tiny particles that can easily be brushed away.
- Direct iron-to-film contact is necessary for full removal.
- Always use a low to medium heat setting to avoid fabric damage.
- Not recommended for intricate areas where the iron cannot reach directly.
