Pfaff Dissolve-A-Way Max Stabilizer - 12" x 10yds
When used as a topper on medium-weight or coarsely woven fabrics like duck cloth, Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way Max helps prevent stitch distortion caused by shifting weaves. As a stand-alone stabilizer in the hoop, it offers unmatched strength for delicate and dimensional embroidery that needs a secure foundation with flawless post-stitch removal.
Recommended Use:
This stabilizer is essential for high-stress embroidery applications. It's a go-to for terry cloth, corduroy, fleece, and other textured or dense fabrics where clarity and precision matter. Use it to support heavy stitch counts, thick threads, or multi-layer appliqué, as well as intricate 3D designs using yarn, ribbon, or dense decorative stitching.
How to Use as a Topper:
- Method One: Place a piece of Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way Max on top of the fabric, hoop both layers together, and embroider.
- Method Two: Hoop the fabric first, then lay the stabilizer over the top. Secure it with a basting stitch to prevent shifting during stitching.
- Hoop the Stabilizer: Hoop 1–2 layers of Dissolve-A-Way Max, gently pulling the edges to secure without overstretching the film.
- Embroider as Usual: Ideal for lace, appliqué, or heavily textured 3D designs.
- Remove Excess Stabilizer: Tear away any excess film around the design after stitching.
- Soak: Submerge the embroidered item in warm water for approximately 10 minutes, moving it gently to help dissolve the stabilizer.
- Repeat as Needed: Continue rinsing until the stabilizer is fully removed.
- Alternative Methods: Use medium to heavy steam or blot away remaining residue with a damp sponge.
- Dry Flat: Lay the finished item flat on a clean surface until fully dry.
