Pfaff Dissolve-A-Way Plus Stabilizer - 12" x 10yds
Perfect for 3D appliqué, cutwork, freestanding lace, embroidery on towels, or any project where traditional stabilizers may be too bulky or visible, Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way Plus ensures your finished piece is soft, smooth, and professional-looking. Its strong, temporary support helps embroidery hold its shape without compromising the fabric's natural drape.
Recommended Use:
This stabilizer is essential for heavy fabrics such as terry cloth, fleece, and corduroy, especially when using high-density designs or thick threads. It's also ideal for uneven or textured surfaces like pique knits, coarse weaves, ribbons, yarns, and other dimensional materials. Use it as a stand-alone stabilizer for lace embroidery, layered appliqué, or intricate 3D threadwork. How to Use as a Topper:
- Method One: Place Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way Plus on top of the fabric, hoop both together, and embroider as usual.
- Method Two: Hoop the fabric alone, then lay the stabilizer on top. Secure it with a basting stitch before beginning your embroidery.
- Hoop the Stabilizer: Hoop one to two layers of the stabilizer depending on stitch density or thread weight. Pull edges gently to tighten without stretching the film.
- Stitch Your Design: Proceed with embroidery as usual.
- Remove Excess Stabilizer: Tear away as much of the film as possible after stitching.
- Dissolve the Remaining Stabilizer:
- Soak the piece in warm water for 10 minutes, gently agitating to help the film dissolve.
- Rinse thoroughly in warm water. Repeat if necessary.
- For spot removal or quicker dissolving, use steam or blot gently with a damp sponge.
- Dry the Item: Lay flat to dry completely.
