Pfaff Dissolve-A-Way Stabilizer - 12" x 15yds
Recommended Use:
Perfect for textured fabrics such as terry cloth, velvet, corduroy, fleece, and pique knits, Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way Stabilizer enhances stitch clarity by preventing your designs from sinking into the fabric. It's also a great solution for uneven surfaces like coarse weaves, decorative ribbons, thick threads, or yarn-based accents. As a freestanding stabilizer, it supports lacework, fine single-layer appliqués, and intricate 3D thread-based designs—providing clean, temporary reinforcement that disappears with a simple rinse.
How to Use as a Topper:
- Method One: Place the stabilizer directly on top of your fabric, hoop both layers together, and stitch as usual.
- Method Two: Hoop the fabric first, then lay the stabilizer on top. Use a basting stitch to secure the topper in place before embroidering.
- Hoop the Stabilizer: Place 1–2 layers of Pfaff® Dissolve-A-Way in your hoop. Gently tighten the hoop without overstretching the film.
- Complete the Embroidery: Ideal for lace, 3D textures, or in-the-hoop appliqué.
- Submerge in Warm Water: Soak the finished piece in warm water for several minutes, moving it around to help dissolve the film.
- Repeat as Needed: For denser stitching or multiple layers, you may need to repeat the soak.
- Alternative Removal Methods: Use warm rinsing water, medium to heavy steam, or moisten a sponge to gently blot away stabilizer from specific areas.
- Dry Flat: Lay the embroidered item on a flat, smooth surface until completely dry.
